The Hideaway FincaHotel Ca’n Bando is hidden and quiet away from the country roads that lead through the Tramuntana Mountains from the enchanting small town of Sóller to the artists’ village of Deià.
Sóller is only seven minutes away by car. The sea and the sandy beach of Port de Sóller are only five minutes away by car or 40 minutes on foot. You will also find beautiful rock coves on the steep coast nearby. Directly from the FincaHotel you reach one of the most charming hiking trails of Mallorca. Fancy shopping and the hustle and bustle in the island capital? Palma is about half an hour away by car. A special holiday experience is certainly the trip to Palma with the historic train, the “Red Lightning”.

Take the motorway in the direction of Palma. The first exit (do not leave the motorway here) is called Coll d’en Rabassa. At the next exit (this is the junction of the Via Cintura ring road) turn off towards Andratx. A few kilometres later, take exit 5A “Sóller” from the motorway (shortly before the motorway branches off for Alcudia/Inca).
Now follow the signs for Sóller and you will reach the tunnel via the main road. If you like, you can drive over the mountain: beautiful view, which can only be enjoyed by “gastrointestinal” people: 56 hairpin bends, 7km longer way.
After the tunnel/end of the mountain road there are 2km to the beginning of Sóller. First you come to a roundabout, which you leave in the direction of Port de Sóller/Deià. Follow the road until you come to a left turn in the direction of “Deià/Andratx/Valldemossa”.
After about 2.5 km you will see the 55 km stone on your right. A few metres later you will see a sharp left-hand bend where a guardrail begins on the right. Immediately at the end of the guardrail there is an inconspicuous dark green iron gate, also on the right. On the gate posts there is no. 48. On the gate wing hangs a rather faded red sign:
“Prohibido el paso”
Please open this gate, drive through and close it again because of the suicidal sheep. On the way downhill 550m – in case of doubt please always stay on the light cement surface with the cross grooves. You will reach our parking lot. At the end of the parking lot you will see a gate (please close again because of the hungry sheep). The stairs lead down to the hotel – Have a safe trip!
